With the competitive housing prices and mobile job growth in recent years, the tiny house trend is something the whole world has taken notice of. People from all walks of life are drawn to a more simplified lifestyle in a compact dwelling, which means there has never been more variety in terms of tiny home designs than now.
Tiny Idahomes is one of the leading builders in the US specializing in crafting quality tiny homes on wheels that provide comfort and modern conveniences. With ten years of experience in the business, the Caldwell, Idaho-based company knows best how to meet the needs and desires of even the most demanding customers. Each unit crafted by the team is customized to fit the client's lifestyle as they want homeowners to be able to lead a happy, comfortable life and feel a sense of pride in their decision to adopt tiny living.

The model we are going to look at here is a Vardo-style tiny home on wheels that the company built in 2020 for a client named Ella. It is one of their most unique builds, standing out from the crowd with its distinctive style, vivid color palette, and functional interior layout, proving once again the versatility of tiny houses. Built on a double-axle trailer, this cute little dwelling is based on the company's Pioneer model and measures 26 feet (8 meters) in length and 8.6 feet (2.6 meters) in width, meaning the owner can easily travel and live anywhere her road trips lead her.

From the outside, this tiny home looks like a traditional Vardo wagon with its curved roof, while the pinky-red color scheme gives it a barn vibe. The interior, meanwhile, combines Robin's egg blue wainscoting with natural pine to give this charming home a unique personality. In a market dominated by white, black, and gray tiny homes, it's nice to see a change of pace with this cute home on wheels bursting with color.

One of the standout features of this gypsy caravan-style home is the entrance. Firstly, the door is positioned on the rear of the tiny house, making it look more like an RV. Actually, Tiny Idahomes' models are all built with RVIA (Recreation Vehicle Industry Association) certification, which makes them tiny-home-RV-hybrids. Secondly, it's a wooden Dutch door that harmoniously complements the pinky-red exterior and has a window that swings open, optimizing airflow inside the house. A small covered deck and two built-in corner benches make up the ideal spot for admiring the surrounding views.

The interior of this custom Pioneer reveals an exceptionally well-thought-out layout that prioritizes functionality and accessibility and makes you forget that you are in a 26-foot home. Every square foot of space is cleverly utilized to squeeze in an incredible amount of functional features and create a comfortable and practical living space with a cozy bedroom loft, a snug living room at the entrance, a spacious kitchen perfect for cooking any meal, and a relaxing bathroom with a jetted tub. There are also tons of under-the-stairs storage, making it perfect for a couple looking to downsize.

It's not very common for a color to take center stage inside a tiny home, but in this case, the Robin's egg blue wainscoting significantly impacts the design. The vibrant color carries on to the cabinets under the stairs, the bathroom door, and the window trim, transforming the interior into a more cheerful living space. The waterproof vinyl flooring in dark wood color and the natural pine walls and ceilings add a tinge of rustic vibe to the interior.

As you enter, the living room basically intertwines with the kitchen, with room just for a cozy armchair or a small bench for seating space. The kitchen, on the other hand, is spacious and functional, with plenty of toasted antique cabinets for storage, Wilsonart laminate countertops, a 24" deep sink, and a full-size refrigerator. No incorporated cooktop or oven has been included in the design, most likely because the client prefers to use on-the-counter appliances.

A custom barn door next to the kitchen leads to the spacious and luxurious-looking bathroom, which has been designed as a space for relaxation with a jetted bathtub and Duma shower walls. It also includes a vanity, a toilet, and a mirrored medicine cabinet.

The only bedroom inside this home can be accessed via the storage-integrated staircase and is a typical crawling space. Nonetheless, the curved ceiling increases the headroom in the loft, and two lateral windows keep the space bright and airy. This loft is spacious enough for a queen-size bed and is completely open to the downstairs, with no privacy wall or railing.

Designed for a minimalist yet comfortable lifestyle, this custom Pioneer tiny home also offers the perk of mobility in a unique package from a styling standpoint. It represents a testament to the builder's exceptional craftsmanship and ability to adapt their designs to meet the owners' needs and preferences. In terms of pricing, this upgraded Pioneer model, as shown, cost around $56,000 in the spring of 2020.
