Cars for Stars Sold to Anonymous Buyer

Seven-year old executive car hire company Cars for Stars has been sold this week to an anonymous buyer and for an undisclosed amount. The new, mysterious management team plans to bring back the former glory of the company and, according to the former owners, abandon the franchise type of business used until now.

Coming with a new business plan and a new approach, the new owners announced they will hire an additional 20 people this year, with further recruitment to be made next year. As for the reasons which led to the sale of the company, Stephen Hughes, the majority shareholder says the decision has been made due to the lack of time.

"I have received assurances and indeed I am convinced that the new owners will provide Cars For Stars with a renewed impetus, allowing the business to become a dominant player in the travel sector, without sacrificing its reputation. I wish them well in their endeavours and intend to keep a close eye on their achievements in the years to come," Hughes says in a statement.

UK-based Cars for Stars offers limousine hire and chauffeur cars from Mercedes, BMW, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Chrysler and Jaguar.

"Cars For Stars has long been recognized and acknowledged as a premier chauffeur driven car hire service which focuses upon the needs of the customer. This has ensured the company always stood out from the crowd, and flourished where others have patently failed," the statement of the new owners reads.

"The new team at Cars For Stars plans to build on the firm’s enviable and unequalled reputation as a top-name executive travel company, and turn it into the industry leader."
