Back in December last year, Carlsson previewed a modification package for the 2011 Mercedes CLS, being one of the first tuners to target the vehicle. Now, they’ve put another kit with a flying horse on the table with the introduction of their more subtle but also extra powerful Carlsson CK63 RS Mercedes CLS 63 AMG.
The car will debut at the 2011 IAA in Frankfurt and brings with it some cosmetic changes and a V8 engine that’s capable of producing a supercar-rivaling 649 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque instead of 557 HP (410 kW) and 800 Nm. The extra punch under the bonnet has also resulted in a 0.2 second reduction in sprint time to 4.1 seconds.
On the outside, the German four-door saloon now has 900 Nm of torque instead of 557 HP (410 kW) and 800 Nm, a small trunk lid spoiler and bumper diffuser. The CLS 63 sits on 20 inch alloys and has been brought 30 mm closer to the ground.
