Not all celebrities fly private and not all celebrities get special treatment when they mingle with common folk. As it turns out, some celebrities even get the same lousy treatment we get from airport and airline staff.
Enter Carey Hart, the professional motorcross racer that’s married to singer Pink. She is now touring in Australia, where they’ve been spending time together as a family with their kids, but Carey had to fly back to the U.S.
His experience with United Airlines was terrible and he made sure to let his fans and followers know all about it on social media. In the process, he also revealed he’s too poor to travel by private jet, which is just as well, since it’s very bad for the environment.
You can see Carey’s message on Instagram here. He doesn’t say what exactly bothered him, but from it and the replies he gave his fans it’s clear that the over-all experience was horrible. He now hates United Airlines and Air New Zealand equally, with a passion.
As for why he won’t fly private, here’s how he puts it: “Wish I could! Doesn't roll that way on my budget lol. I'm fortunate to roll with the family on tour! I don't even care. I have no issues with commercial flights other than s**tty-ran airlines and a**hole people.”
He also says he must be getting old since air travel has become a “joke.” What’s worse, airline companies are behaving in such a “disgusting” manner towards people who pay for their lousy services.
In a statement to the media, United Airlines says that they’ve been notified of Hart’s complaint. “We have expressed our apologies to Mr. Hart for the experience he shared with us. We are looking into this further and speaking with our team to better understand what happened,” United says.
As of this moment, it doesn’t look like Hart has received a satisfactory answer from them.
