This video is a textbook example of how important paying attention when driving is, and how big a difference good brakes and tires can make when the going gets tough.
For the scooter rider, the fellow at least had the decency to wear a helmet, and this was also good for health on that day. When it comes to riding skills, I'd rather say they are closing in towards zero, on an upwards trend.
However, it's the driver who saved the situation and his spot-on braking which avoided turning the unfortunate scooter rider into a (dead) pulp. Say thanks to the guy in the car, buy him a non-alcoholic beer and hurry up to riding courses!
