Canadians Increase Chrysler Sales

As astonishing as it may seem, we may say WOW three times when taking a look at Chrysler's 2008 sales in Canada.

You wouldn't believe it at first, but we swear it is true that the 2008 sales for Chrysler vehicles established a second best result in the last five years.

What's even more striking, sales for Dodge Grand Caravan increased by 30 percent with a total of 39,396 sold units in the 25th Anniversary year for Chrysler's Minivans. In 2008, Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country sales grew 39 per cent over the previous year.

But, the well-deserved award goes to the family's baby, Dodge Ram, which scored all-time record sales with 42,736 sold units.

"Chrysler Canada had achieved 23 consecutive months of year-to-year sales increases until the credit crisis essentially eliminated various financing options for our customers starting in the month of July," said Reid Bigland, President and CEO of Chrysler Canada.

No doubt for Chrysler Canada, 2008 was a year to remember in the good sense. The car maker launched three new vehicles last year, these being the Dodge Ram 1500, the Dodge Challenger and the Dodge Journey. Apparently, all these new Chrysler babies attracted Canadians who hurried to have one in the garage.
Sales for the Jeep brand vehicles followed the same increasing trend as 50,710 units were sold compared to 47,693 in 2007. The famous Jeep Wrangler had its big slice of the winning cake since 12,137 units were sold in comparison with 2007's total of 9,834.

A promising future could be imagined as Chrysler Canada's 2009 product lineup appears to be the most fuel-efficient ever, or at least this is what they promise to be. Thus, they are going to offer six vehicles achieving 40 miles per gallon (mpg) or higher, and 20 vehicles reaching over 30 mpg.

But that's not all! In the attempt to fight the economic crisis, Chrysler Canada is going to launch a program allowing customers to make payments for 90 days  plus offering zero per cent purchase financing for 60 months on almost every vehicle in the Chrysler Canada showrooms.

"The timing couldn't be better for our new 'No Payments for 90 Days' Program," said Dave Buckingham, Vice President of Sales.

Ok, guys! Congrats and hope to see even more amazing results same time, next year!
