Campos Targets Bruno Senna for 2010 Drive

It was only a question of time before the name of Ayrton Senna's nephew Bruno would be thrown into the Formula One newly-entrants mix. Although only rumored to be courted by the new Formula One teams Campos Grand Prix, Manor GP or even US Grand Prix Engineering, Bruno Senna is now confirmed as a targeted driver by Adrian Campos.

The Spanish outfit is yet to announce its drivers' lineup for the 2010 Formula One Championship, despite rumors that McLaren's test driver Pedro de la Rosa has already inked a 2-year deal with the Campos.

In an interview with Spanish radio station Cadena SER, Campos publicly admitted he is looking to secure Senna for at least one season. In addition, he also brought up the names of two other F1 wannabes, in case Senna's deal won't work out. The first is a high-rated GP2 driver – Vitaly Petrov – while the other is a good friend of Fernando Alonso – 29-year old sportscar racer Antonio Garcia.

Whoever of those 3 drivers will be chosen, Campos made one thing clear: they can't be teammates, as all three are fighting for only one seat. The other place will be awarded to one experienced F1 driver – current or former – with Marc Gene and Pedro de la Rosa currently the most linked with the job.

Campos is not the only team boss who is yet to make up his mind on his team's 2010 lineup, as neither of the outfits joining them on the 2010 debutant list – US GPE and Manor Grand Prix – has proceeded to making such announcements.
