The problem with living in Houston these days is that people keep crashing their Sunday cars into your swimming pool. It happened to a local owner of a brand new Camaro ZL1, who lost control of his vehicle, crashed through a fence and into a Harris County community swimming pool.
The guy driving the Camaro probably thinks he's unlucky, but getting out of there in one piece and without killing anybody suggests otherwise. Eye witnesses say the ZL1 driver was speeding. The police are now looking at several charges, including property damage and the chemical spill in the public swimming pool.
"Whoa. That's kind of crazy," said neighborhood resident Kelvin Dorsey in an interview with click2houston. "Imagine if I have my child and my baby's mother walking past here and that was to happen and I was to get hit."
"I was driving right behind him the whole time," said Ashton Brantley, who knows the driver of the black Camaro. "He lost control, and I think he took his traction control off. And then he just hit the curb, and then went into the fence, and then he hit the pool."
We've found a Reddit user who claims this is the very same car he photographed a month ago (photos added to gallery below). It's a shame this cool $60,000 piece of GM muscle has been flooded and will probably have to be written off.
