As we reported yesterday, it's been less than 24 hours and the official announcement from both Ducati and Cal Crutchlow is now public: the Coventry-born Englishman will ride a Ducati bike for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
This way, Crutchlow will be once more Andra Dovizioso's team mate, like back in 2012, when the Italian also rode satellite Yamaha wheels.

Having debuted in 2011 and being the Rookie of the Year back then, Crutchlow, now 27, is now fifth in the 2013 standings, behind the four factory riders of Honda and Yamaha. With 6 podiums, one fastest lap and one pole in his career, Crutchlow has had a very good season halfway into 2013, with 4 podiums in the last 6 rounds.

Cal Crutchlow had expressed his intentions to get aboard a factory motorcycle for the next season, and despite the rumors seeing him ride for Suzuki, it turned out that the Japanese were planning to come back to MotoGP only in 2015, so Ducati was the only factory seat available, replacing the Kentucky Kid, Niky Hayden.

Ducati would better ready a better bike for Crutchlow in 2014, as the Brit is surely eager to prove the world that he can ride faster on factory wheels.
