Brutal Bike Crash while Overtaking in Forbidden Section

Overtaking on a two-lane road across a pedestrian crossing is most likely forbidden in most countries and states, because such a maneuver poses a high risk of accidents. However, to understand how dangerous this maneuver is, here's this Russian driver involved in a very nasty double-fault crash with an SUV.
It is obvious that the SUV driver did not check his mirrors prior top crossing the road, at least he heeded not the approaching bike, misjudging its position and speed at best. Any cop in their right mind will reach the same conclusion after watching the footage and possibly hearing the eye witnesses closer to the impact.

On the other hand, the motorcycle rider has his own deal of blame in this accident, as he was definitely not supposed to overtake vehicles on that road section. Had he obeyed the overtaking interdiction, this crash would have not happened and everybody would have made it safely back home.

We can hope the rider made it home, but judging by the violent impact, we fear there was no trace of "safely" in his way.
