I’m pretty sure there are many among you who would do anything to be able to enjoy a 90s car in mint condition nowadays. Emission and safety regulations mean carmakers won’t bring back their old models anytime soon, but here’s something you could do if you want to live out your E36 M3 or original Dodge Viper motoring dream - emigrate to Brazil.
Back in the 1990s, sportscars were much more expensive than they should’ve been, which means only the truly rich people could afford them. As a result, many of these cars received all the attention in the world, being kept in garages and maintained more than properly.
When you make that much money, you don’t usually have hours and hours per day to spend on driving, which means that many of these vehicles also have low mileage. The people who bought them have obviously moved on meanwhile, which means the Brazilian used car market now holds tons and tons of top condition metal.
Matters are obviously different with the actual spicy cars, such as the E36 M3s, the Mitsubishis (you have a 3000GT and an Eclipse GS-T in the gallery below), or the infamous RX-7s. For instance, the Mazda you see in the adjacent images has 4k miles on its odo, so you shouldn’t worry about the reliability issues of its Wankel motor.
Audi and Mercedes are obviously also present, , with stuff like an Audi 80 Cabrio or a Mercedes W140 300SE being offered. As for their hotter models, a C36 AMG or an RS2 are certainly worthy of your attention.
American models have not been left out, with a 1996 Viper SRT and a 2012 Ram SRT/10 being offered with almost 0 miles. OK, I've stepped out of both the 90s and the sportscar zones here, but I don't think you mind.
Like I said, the best affordable way to quench your 90s thirst is to move to Brazil. We heard the girls are nice too.

Here are some examples
Examples obviously start from the cars that were not exactly sporty, such as the Golf 3 GTI or the Ford Mustang. The 90s was far from the best decade in the history of these cars, so it’s rather interesting too see these cars being so well treated.Matters are obviously different with the actual spicy cars, such as the E36 M3s, the Mitsubishis (you have a 3000GT and an Eclipse GS-T in the gallery below), or the infamous RX-7s. Why you can’t import them, at least not yet
Sure, you could bring one, or more of these beauties in your country, but the import taxes would make the effort a catastrophe. There are legal ways to avoid taxation, but then you’ll have to pay a patience toll. For instance, if you live in the US and want to skip the financial mayhem, you have to wait for one of these rides to celebrate its 25th birthday before importing it.Like I said, the best affordable way to quench your 90s thirst is to move to Brazil.
