Bonneville 100 Years of Speed Anniversary T-Shirt
This year marks a century of speed record-breaking at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, and S&S Cycle and the Bonneville Speedway Museum have revealed the 100th anniversary special edition t-shirt, which is now available for purchase.
This nifty t-shirt was designed by the S&S’ graphics design team in Viola, MI, and has the Bonneville Speedway Museum logo in the front, and a cool-looking white on black design on the back. All the proceedings from selling this anniversary t-shirt will go to the new Speedway Museum, which is under construction in Wendover, Utah.

Mike Crawford, the Mayor of Wendover says that the local authorities have secured a special plot for the new museum, east of the town and very close to the Interstate 80. A 25,000-square-foot (2,320 square meters) building will be erected there to “chronicle not just the history of land-speed racing on the Bonneville Salt Flats, but also the story of the Salt Flats and the town of Wendover’s contributions to land-speed racing.”

The Bonneville Salt Flats are the world’s best-known place for land speed record breaking, with multiple major events throughout the year open for cars, bikes and trucks, and the Bub Motorcycle Speed Trials being reserved for motorcycles only.

S&S Cycle founder George J. Smith has also been a part of the land speed records in Bonneville, as he set his first record of 152.02 mph (244.6 km/h) on his Knucklehead “Tramp II” bike back in 1954. The Bonneville 100 Years of Speed Anniversary T-Shirt can be bought from S&S Cycle or from the Bonneville Speedway Museum gift shop. It is available in sizes M through 3XL for $19.95 (€14) while stocks last.
