The latest project car spawned by the collaboration between BMW and Zagato is this, the Z4 Zagato Roadster, based on the Zagato Coupe shown in Italy at the Concorso d’Elleganza Villa d’Este.
This time, the Zagato two-seater made its debut across the ocean at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California.

"Our success in finishing the car in such a short space of time shows what is possible when two successful companies pool their resources," says Andrea Zagato.
"BMW is a high-achieving carmaker boasting a vast well of knowledge and technical capability in this area. When you combine that with our expertise in the creation of micro-series, everything is in place to produce a beautiful model like the BMW Zagato Roadster in double-quick time.”

The main difference between this and the coupe lies in the fact that the Roadster gets a lower rear and obviously no roof. Instead of the folding metal hardtop that the Z4 uses, this has a soft-top, which supposedly incorporates Zagato’s signature twin domes.

Just like with the previous version, they did not announce if it was available for order, but it most likely will be.
