BMW Z4 Facelift (LCI) First Commercial

The second generation BMW Z4 was (and still is) a great-looking sportscar, roof up or roof down. For the 2014 model year, however, things are just a little bit better.
BMW has officially introduced the LCI or Life Cycle Impulse for the mighty Z4. The updates on the car are mild in nature. The updated Z4 is making its debut at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show, and to celebrate, they’ve released a commercial which puts the car in the best light possible.

The changes made to the Z4 start with new three-dymensional headlights with LED halos, and also include a new set of 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels, as well as new surrounds for the side indicators.

The car shown in this video also highlights a new step color that’s been added to the Z4 pallet: Valencia Orange, a part of the new Hyper Orange package that also includes Mineral Grey metallic and Glacier Silver.

In the US, the Z4 will continue to be offered with either the 240 hp 2-liter or the 3-liter inline-six producing 300 horsepower. However, for the European market, BMW has created a new entry-level model called Z4 sDrive18i. This uses the same 2-liter engine as the sDrive20i but only offers 156 PS (154 hp) and 240Nm (177 lb-ft).
