BMW X5 Gets Extra Power from Hartge

{img1 alig=left}The tuners at Hartge released an upgrade program for the X5 xDrive35d that not only increases the visual appearance of the SUV, but also gives it extra power. The details, however, are limited at this point, but Hartge say that it used their previously released bodykit for the exterior, some engine tweaks and sporty features for the inside.

But to get straight to the point, the 3.0-liter engine's output was increased from 285 hp to 328 hp at 4400 rpm, which enables the SUV to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds (down from 7.0 seconds) while the top speed increases to 244 km/h (up from 235 km/h).

Naturally, the vehicle has been lowered by up to 30 mm thanks to an in-house sports spring set with level control system for the rear axle, while the visual appearance is completed by 22-inch ‘BRILLANT CLASSIC 2' wheels, carbon casings for exterior mirrors and stainless steel tail pieces with oval tail pipes.

The overall bodykit that comes with ABE homologation, includes features such as new front and rear fascias, wheel arch extensions, and aggressive two-piece side sills.

Inside, the Hartge X5 xDrive35d boasts several sporting accessories, like a 3-spoke leather steering wheel with carbon inserts, a carbon fiber trim, a revised instrument cluster (with a 300 km/h speedometer and a silver metallic dial and red needle set), aluminum pedals, and black velour floor mats.

Pricing for the complete vehicle was set by Hartge at 87,277.47 Euro.
