By now, we already know how the new X4 looks like, thanks to BMW’s online launch, showcasing a red M Sport model shot over some beautiful backgrounds. However, as we’ve seen it before, a car can look rather different in real life, compared to the press photos manufacturers launch.
The X4 is one of them and, luckily for us, it looks better in the flesh than it does in photos. The guys from Bimmertoday just caught one of them lurking around Munich, in a beautiful Deep Sea Blue Metallic paint that really emphasizes the right areas.

Furthermore, this is the first time we get to see the xLine trims on the new Sport Activity Coupe, unlike the M Sport version we’ve already grown fond upon.

Unfortunately, there was no badging on the car and we can’t be sure of the engine it had under the bonnet. Furthermore, for the X4, even the top of the line xDrive35i model doesn’t have separated exhaust pipes round the back so you can’t really tell the car apart just by this detail.

Either way, the 6 models available in Germany at launch should cater to everyone’s tastes, going from entry level 20d and 20i models to 35d and 35i versions fitted with 3-liter inline 6-cylinder engines, the diesel being the fastest one around, for now. You can already order one in case you like the new SAC that much, prices starting at €45,600 in Germany for the xDrive20d model and $45,625 for the xDrive28i in the US.
