BMW X1 Configurator Now Available

BMW's UK branch launched today the online configurator for the latest SUV built by the German manufacturer. It is the first configurator for the X1, but as we are already used to by now, the company will keep launching configurators in the countries it is present in as time passes.

For the UK customers, only three X1 versions are available, all powered by diesel engines: xDrive20d, sDrive20d and xDrive23d, with outputs ranging from 177 hp to 204 hp. Pricing starts for the entry-level sDrive20d at £24,205, goes to £25,510 for the all wheel drive version and tops at £29,055 for the xDrive23d.

Of course, we are talking about starting prices here and, having a very extensive list of options to be added to the X1, we are sure this price will be dwarfed by the one you will eventually have to pay. We took the most expensive options for the entry level model, to give you an idea of how much you will have to pay for a fully loaded X1.

The sDrive20d can add some 3,500 pounds to the original price when you choose to fit it with the Design Package (Nevada leather, Fineline Wave wood trim and sport seats), blade sport rims and a color other than Alpine White and Jet Black.

Of course, the list of optional equipment for the X1 runs for miles and ranges from Bluetooth telephone audio connection to cruise control with brake function. Prices stretch from 70 pounds for the aforementioned Bluetooth connection and can reach 1,880 pounds for the Professional navigation system. Only the common sense options (nav-system, Bluetooth, sun roof) will add an extra 2,375 pounds to the X1. So, with this minor tweaks, it now costs over 30,000 pounds...
