The last month of 2013 proved to be quite profitable for BMW, despite blizzards and heavy snowfall in the North American continent. The sales of the German group followed the trend of the rest of the year and posted growth.
It wasn’t huge but any increase is better than a decrease, right? Over December, BMW sold 43,981 vehicles, a 0.3 percent growth compared to the 43,855 sold in the same month of 2012.

As far as BMW Brand sales go, 37,389 units were sold, 10 less than the 37,399 that left dealerships in the last month of 2012. Over the whole year, BMW brand sales went up 9.9 percent.

The best performing vehicles in December were the 3 and 4 Series with a growth of 55.8 percent (16,737 units in total) and the 1 Series that went up 37.3 percent (to a total of 1,039 units).

Certified Pre-Owned vehicles performed rather well too, posting the best year yet with a 10.8 percent increase on volume, reaching a total of 182,219 units compared to the 164,524 sold in the same period of 2012.
