BMW S 1000 RR Windscreens from Zero Gravity

Aftermarket company Zero Gravity recently announced the release of its new line of 2010 BMW S 1000 RR windscreens. To date the lineup includes a stock replacement SR Series, and the new Corsa Series. Coming later this year will be the Zero Gravity Double Bubble design.

The SR Series approximates the size and shape of the OEM screen and is available in a variety of colors as well as clear, light smoke and dark smoke.

“Shaped to emulate the BMW factory race bike campaigned on the World Superbike circuit, the Corsa Series screen is approximately .75” (44.45mm) taller than OEM screen providing additional wind protection while tucked in at speed,” a company statement reads. Corsa Series screens are available in clear and light smoke.

“Zero Gravity screens are made with cutting edge technology and feature a precise fit, hand polished visible edges and distortion free optical clarity,” the company says. Starting at $99.95, Zero Gravity S1000RR screens are protected with a limited factory warranty.

BMW announced recently it is offering new looks to the BMW S 1000 RR for the 2011 model year. While the racing colors white/red/blue will be continued, the manufacturer has added two new options: Sun yellow and Light grey metallic. Also the grey and deep green colours will most likely disappear from 2011.

The S1000RR features the first-ever four-stage Race ABS system with settings for Rain, Sport, Race and Slick conditions. The German supersport machine comes fitted with a 99cc in-line four-cylinder engine that develops 193 bhp, and with a dry weight rated at 183 kg, making it the lightest supersport bike with ABS.
