BMW Recalls 2007-2008 K1200 S, K1200 R, and K1200 R for Potential Braking Issues

BMW is about to issue a recall for some of the bikes they've manufactured between 2007 and 2008.
Series K1200 S, K1200 R, and K1200 R Sport are expected in authorized dealerships workshops to be retrofitted with a brake line screen, at the expense of BMW, like always. This screen insert will reduce and ultimately eliminate the risk of brake fluid foaming, which could result in poor braking force and could lead co crashes and undesired consequences.

The recall for K1200 S, K1200 R, and K1200 R Sport manufactured I 2007 and 2008 is expected to start in November 2012. For further inquiries US customers can email BMW at [email protected]. We're also expecting news regarding the European market and more.

If your motorcycle has been manufactured prior 2007 or after 2008, you shouldn't worry at all, BMW notes.
