Founded in 1874, Robbe & Berking was and still is a family business, dedicated to keeping tradition and the quality of each piece they make unscathed. Everything that they put up for sale is handmade, forgetting about the constraints of mass production.
With such dedication, Robbe & Berking became the number one provider of silver cutlery worldwide, providing silverware for many top restaurants, hotels and even half of the world's biggest private yachts.
It was only normal that BMW recognized them and proposed a joint venture to create a unique car, after doing the same with the world famous manufacturer of pianos, Steinway & Sons.
The end result is a unique BMW 7 Series decked with unique features and a lot of interesting details. The flagship 760Li model was complimented by silver parts all around, creating a perfect fusion of exclusive hand craftsmanship of the specialists from Robbe & Berking and the ones working for BMW's Individual Manufaktur.
From a distance, you probably wouldn't consider this BMW anything more than a random 7er but coming a bit closer your start noticing the luxurious details like the BMW kidney grille, the side trim elements, the tailpipe embellisher, all of them being made of silver now.
The BMW logos on the bonnet and boot lid are even made of solid 925 sterling silver, whilst the lettering on the C-Pillar, the 'BMW Individual' trim strip and even the 760Li badge join, being made of the same metal.
The door handles had their chrome stripes removed and replaced with silver, introducing you to the exclusive interior that features Individual fine-grain Merino full-leather with Amaro Brown trims, accompanied by contrasting piping in Opal White whilst Alcantara decks the roof liner in Amaro Brown.
Over here, the Robbe & Berking touch is also easily noticed on close inspection: silver-plated door sill finishers with Robbe & Berking lettering welcome you whilst all trim strips have been converted in solid 925 hammered sterling silver.
Created to express a high level of craftsmanship, this car is truly unique a perfect example of what can be achieved when two great companies come together to simply create beauty.
