BMW Needs 700 Electronauts for ActiveE Test Fleet

How many times have you heard expressions like “vision of the future” or “the future of mobility”? We’ve head them a lot, so we’ll try to keep the corny lines down to a minimum for the remainder of this post.
German automaker BMW has put together a whole fleet of all-electric 1-Series Coupes, and it wants you for the test fleet army that’s supposed to be 700 dedicated men and women strong. To rally the troops a video has been posted, asking for what the automaker calls electronauts... people who will boldly plug where no man has plugged before.

If the commercial has caught you attention, you can sign a reservation form with BMW USA. After that, its gets a bit tricks, because you’ll have to sign a two-year, $499 per month lease for the BMW ActiveE car.

The good thing is that the EV has 170 hp and can accelerated to 62 mph (100 km/h) in about 8.5 seconds.
