BMW fans and enthusiasts rejoice, the Summer 2014 edition of the BMW Motorcycle Magazine is now available, in both printed and electronic form.
One of the most exciting features in the new issue is the massive test ride section, which features no less than 4 bikes, providing a hands-on approach to the new Bavarian machinery. We get solid on-the-road experience with the S1000R roadster, the iconic R1200RT touring machine, the all-new R1200GS Adventure and the sizzling hot R nineT. All 4 bikes have been tested on carefully chosen routes, to try and prove whether they’re really living up to the factory figures. Dyno tests have also been carried out to offer an even more realistic image of what these bikes are in real life.

The retro section of the magazine offers a cool story on scramblers, with two K100 makeovers and a nice report on two extremely cool R nineT bikes: El Impostor from El Solitario and its Californian rival, bearing the signature of Roland Sands. The Garage pages will run you though a comparison of tanks and gauges, plus several more touring tips on weight and electric connections which are a must-read before heading out for a long trip this summer.

And since it’s trip-planning time, the BMW Motorcycle magazine is also providing a ton of info on new riding gear, from waterproof jeans to the new Rallye GS Pro boots, with route suggestions in the Alps, Arizona desert rides and the iconic Pikes Peak in Colorado.

2014 model prices, inside scoops on recalls, industry facts and advice from top riders can also be found between the covers of the Summer 2014 edition of the BMW Motorcycle Magazine. You can find it in bookstores, newsstands and select dealerships around the world, but you can also opt for a digital subscription or choose an individual issue for iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. The iOS version is free, and the $6.95 (€5) price for the printed copy is also a steal.
