The third and probably final model in the BMW M6 range has been unveiled, a four-door called the M6 Gran Coupe. The newest car built by the M division has the potential of also being the most luxurious of the all, but it’s no slouch either.
Power comes from the same 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, producing 560 PS (412 kW). It propels the M6 Gran Coupe from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds. The engine is a revised version of the one in the X5 M and features M TwinPower Turbo technology. It includes a pair of twin-scroll turbochargers, a cross-bank exhaust manifold, High Precision Direct Petrol Injection, VALVETRONIC variable valve timing and Double-Vanos continuously variable camshaft control.
The brand new M car has been officially announced for the UK market. It will arrive on sale from the 25th of May, 2013, with prices starting at £97,490 OTR.
