Performance saloons have become a little strange the past few years. For example, the RS4 is no longer available as a regular four-door, only as an Avant. Audi says that if you want four doors, you actually want two, so you should buy the RS5 instead.
At the same time, BMW seems to have estates now and has given up on offering the new M5 with a big boot like it did with the E60.

This likely means there won't be an M3 Touring any time soon, especially since they have to make the M3 sedan, M4 Coupe, M4 Convertible and M4 Grand Coupe first. And no, sticking the same big engine in a lot of chassis doesn't make it an M car.

Renderer Wild Speed did, however, create an M3 Touring to show what we're missing. It's something that grabs the attention, but we're not sure roof rails mix with low profile tires. After all, it's not like you're going to use an M3 to go mountain biking.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
