It's not like you needed us to add another item on the list of forbidden habits that are so sweet to indulge in, but we'll do it anyway, as we're talking about drifting on the Nurburgring.
Yes, powersliding is forbidden on the Nordschleife, since such an activity can seriously increase the already-serious Touristenfahrten (tourist day) risks. This obviously doesn't keep drivers from going on slip angle adventures, as the occasional (and supposedly accidental) oversteer is obviously allowed by Green Hell rules.
And while some guys simply don't know when to stop, ruining the fun for everybody, there are also Ring drivers who get it right. And by that we're referring to the episodes that involve drifting in high-visibility bends with no traffic, so if something goes wrong, the issues are limited to one's car.
Since we can't see the full surroundings of the BMW M3 in the video below, we're not sure in which category the guy behind the wheel falls. However, we can tell you that the man nailed a Carousel drift on a soaking wet Nurburgring during yesterday's public session.
And with the E36-gen M3 being animated by a straight-six (add the bonus tuning exhaust of this particular car), the soundtrack of the sideways shenanigan is overly enticing.
Now, did the BMW M3 driver stick to drifting his way through the Carousel? We'll let the other two clips at the bottom of the page answer that question for us.
However, before we invite you to hit the "play" buttons and let the sliding action unfold, there's one thing we need to remind you of - the heavy showers drivers experienced at the Nurburgring yesterday weren't as much of a blessing for everybody, as the cringe-worthy Porsche 911 GT3 RS PDK accident we brought you earlier today comes to demonstrate.
