Despite the fact that a new generation of the BMW 3 Series will hit the world in the not-too-distant future, the M3 looks as fresh as it was in the first day. This also means that the contemporary performance icon keeps receiving aftermarket developments. The latest M3-destined tuning goodie comes from US developer Vorsteiner, which is presenting a carbon fiber bootlid for the M3 Convertible.

The new goodies has been built using a prepreg autoclave construction and is finished with high gloss automotive lacquer.

We really like the bootlid, as it is one of the most aggressive of its kind and also reminds us of the one used by the M3 CSL (you know, the E46 track-inspired monster).

The tuner hasn't offered additional details about the product (such as pricing), only mentioning that this is in the final development stages and will be available for purchase soon. Meanwhile, you can enjoy it in the images below.

Before we pull the curtain, let's take a few moments to remember how BMW describes the M3.

"The new BMW M3 Convertible is a top-flight athlete able to offer truly outstanding performance not only as a sports car, but also with many other qualities, top performance, and highlights in motoring elegance, making every moment in the car an experience in driving pleasure and keeping the driver and passengers top fit at all times."

"While the open-air BMW M3 is naturally based on the latest, fourth generation of the "regular" BMW 3 Series Convertible, the new model differs from the standard version fundamentally in terms of both looks and technical features."
