BMW has placed quite a lot of focus on its new M Performance range of vehicles since this was launched earlier this year and it seems that these models will become even more important in BMW’s range.
The M Performance models are slotted in between the standard Bimmers and the M cars, so they start up with usual BMW material and receive icings coming from the carmaker’s M division.

BMW is planning to also use the M Performance models to replace the current “is” range as the next generation of vehicles is launched, a Car and Driver tells us.

In the US, the M Performance adventure is set to start next year, with the introduction of the M335i or the M435i (based on the the future coupe version for the fresh 3-series), while one year after that we should get the M235i (based on the coupe version of the new 1-Series).
