As part of their massive multi-model launch made today in Britain, BMW introduced the RHD versions of two engine specification for the Z4 Roaster that’s already been available on the market for a while now.
We are talking about the sDrive20i and sDrive28i, each equipped with four-cylinder engines and offering sub 7-second standard sprint times.
Starting with the sDrive20i, this offers a 2.0-liter engine that’s good for 184 horsepower, enough for a 0-62 mph time of 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 146 mph (235 km/h) in Britain. On the combined cycle, this needs 41.5 mpg and emits 159 grams of CO2/km. The drivetrain delivers the power to the rear via a standard six-speed manual or optional eight-speed automatic.
The starting price for the car is £29,480, and for that you get 17-inch alloys, a CD player with MP3 playback and even xenon headlights with welcome light and daytime driving lights. Optional goodie include 18-inch alloys, adaptime M Sport suspension and a navigation system among other things.
As for the sDrive28i, this comes with a 2.0-liter engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo with Twin-Scroll turbocharger, direct injection and fully variable valve control. The power output is 245 hp, which is enough for a standard sprint time of 5.7 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). The base on the road price for the sDrive28i is £33,645.
