We never got the idea behind creating the BMW i brand, but we thought they did it for something like a 3-Series that’s super-frugal and runs on good will and peoples “visions of the future”. However, our view was brushed aside when we learned they of this 75 milliliter bottle of sanitizer and moisturizer.
Yes folks, the first BMW i to hit the market is not a citycar or a frugal sportscar, but a bottle of the stuff you use when you want to clean your hands before eating at McDonalds. The partnership between the BMW sub-brand and Susanne Kaufmann, the exclusive Austrian natural cosmetics brand, has launched the “Purif-i”, an all-natural hand sanitizer and moisturizer.
“BMW i and Susanne Kaufmann are two distinct brands that are committed to a sustainable future, where environmental responsibility and luxury can coexist,” said Uwe Dreher, Central Marketing and Brand Manager for BMW i. “The unique collaboration between a natural cosmetics manufacturer and the BMW i mobility brand is an example of how nature and technology can work together and effectively enhance each other.”
The product will be revealed to the media and public in October and November in New York, Berlin and Hong Kong.
We checked, and the product is already available for order online for the price of €14, about $18, and we think its the strangest BMW product ever.
