BCA Nottingham hosted its first ever BMW Group repatriation event on April 9th, with entries from BMW Group as well as eight additional Vendors, namely ALD Automotive, Avis, Leaseplan, ING, Lex Autolease, Scot Group, Streetcar and Drive Assist. Over 300 vehicles were sold, with the BMW Group selling 203 alone, according to an official press release.
A total of 435 buyers registered for the sale, all seeking to take advantage of this unique opportunity, plus there were 306 Live Online buyers who created over £100,000 worth in bids, and overall 102 buyers actually purchased on the day.
“We worked closely with BCA Nottingham to create a buzz around this event and to encourage buyers to come and it turned out to be a fantastic sale day. We had 100% conversion and 106% CAP Clean overall, which is an excellent result,” Tony Dean of BMW Group says.
“This was our first BMW Repatriation sale at BCA Nottingham. By bringing together eight of our business partners supported by the manufacturer we have created a knock-out event. The whole team put in a tremendous effort to make this a special occasion that saw some great sales and provided buyers with an enjoyable auction experience that we hope will have them coming back for more,” Simon Young of BCA adds.
Setting a summery theme, the sale featured a Caribbean steel band, with complimentary breakfast or lunch provided by BMW for buyers. And mid-way through the sale, an ice-cream van drove through the auction hall, providing much needed refreshment on the hot and sunny day.
