The Cadillac CTS-V is the American company's competitor for the German's M5s and E63 AMG but it's still a far way behind. We just caught a glimpse of what happens when you pit this car against a proper BMW.
Even though the CTS-V in this clip is in the Coupe version (therefore a bit lighter) and has a bigger, supercharged engine with more torque at its disposal (6.2-liter V8 with 556 HP and 551 lb-ft of torque) it's still lagging behind the Bimmer.
The M5 came prepared only with its stock 4.4-liter V8 (almost 2 liters smaller in displacement), 560 HP and 500 lb-ft of torque (680 Nm). However, despite being bigger and heavier, the DCT 7-speed transmission made the difference, sending the Bavarian creation ahead on this drag race.
The Cadillac did pretty well actually, but considering the size of that engine, the results should've been different.
