The E90 3 Series is getting older and older these days and, unlike some other models BMW made, I don't see it becoming a classic or withstanding the test of time design-wise.
Take a look at the E46 model, for example. It has a design that will still be acceptable in 10 years from now, when it will be turning 20. The E90, on the other hand...
That's probably why some owners decide to do something about their car's appearance. From full-on body kits to slight changes, most such cars you'll see on the street today, won't be stock.
Like this one right here. It received a set of Modulare B18 wheels with brushed faces and windows hiding M Performance brake calipers behind them. The stance was also lowered for a better fit and that was about it. Nice and clean.
