Back in 1997, BMW decided the E38 7 Series platform deserved an even longer version. The base car was already nearly 5 meters long (196.2 inches) but that didn't seem long enough.
This one had 40 more centimeters, reaching 5.40 meters in total and was designed for customers with the highest possible aspirations and needed all sorts of comfort features. Of course, for such a car, only one engine was good enough and that was the 6-liter V12 unit.
The top speed of the car was 250 km/h (155 mph) and only 899 units were ever built, out of which none was officially imported to China. However, one was recently spotted in Beijing, around the Lido area.
It looks to be in mint condition even though pretty dusty. The interior looks very good also, with plenty of optional features to make life easier. What we didn't like were the appalling seat covers in the front and the AM floor mats in the back, in typical Chinese style.
