BMW Australia announced today a very innovative incentive, set in place to promote the manufacturer's EfficientDynamics technologies. Long story short, whenever an Australian will buy a BMW, he/she will receive a so-called EfficientDynamics Credit.
The credit, with a minimum retail value of AU$4,000, can be used to reduce the price for the respective BMW. A type of scrappage scheme, if you like, without the clunker. To give you an example, a BMW 730d, which now costs starting AU$198,800 can be purchased for AU$194,800. The incentive applies between October 10 and November 30, while stocks last.
“At BMW, we believe in giving credit where credit is due. The BMW EfficientDynamics Credit is designed to reward drivers who choose a vehicle from Europe’s most efficient premium fleet," Stavros Yallouridis, BMW Australia managing director said in a release. “It builds on similar ideas from overseas fleet renewal schemes and is designed to generate customer awareness of the benefits of BMW EfficientDynamics,”
The incentive is just another way for BMW to popularize the EfficientDynamics technologies. No later than today, the German manufacturer announced it has been named by the European Federation for Transport and Environment the most effective program when it comes to CO2 emission levels reduction.
The BMW brand vehicles average 154g of CO2 every kilometer, a 10,.2 percent decrease compared to last year. A perfect start for the manufacturer to meet the regulations planned to come into effect in Europe in 2012 and 2015. And they take pride in achieving this without having to give up large vehicles in favor of smaller ones.
