Wouldn’t it be great to have a new BMW 8 Series Coupe? We must confess such a car would tickle our fancy, although the upcoming i8 plug-in hybrid will be one heck of a sportscar.
As we reported earlier this month, the unveiling of the Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe at the 2013 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este resulted in a rumor that BMW could revive the 8 Series using the gorgeous Italian-styled concept. Not likely if you ask us, at least not in the very near future, but it’s nice to think such arousing thoughts.

Whatever the case, we bet you BMW freaks out there wondered at least once about how a Gran Lusso-based 8 Series would look like. It looks like the guys over at AutoProjecoes did the same thing and decided to conceive a second-generation version using Munich’s stunning concept.

As you might have already noticed, this virtual 8 Series coupe is a toned down version of the Pininfarina Gran Lusso, where the concept’s redesigned kidney grille, headlights and front apron have been “updated” to look less futuristic. To complete the production version look, the creator also added a set of twin five-spoke alloy wheels. It’s thumbs up if you ask us, but feel free to voice your opinion using our comment box below.
