BMW 5 Series E60 Receives Light Aftermarket Treatment

The BMW 5 Series E60 is now a thing of the past, but when it comes to tuning projects this really doesn’t matter, as an intelligent aftermarket upgrade manages to throw away a vehicle’s age. To demonstrate this, we will show you a custom example of the E60 that uses a light approach.

The project, which was presented on stancenation, is based on a 530i model that came to the world in 2005 (this is a pre-facelift model). The owner decided to fit a few modifications here and there, using a clean-style approach.

We shall start with the tech mods, which target the engine, wheels and suspension. The vehicle’s 3.0 liter naturally aspirated in-line six-cylinder powerplant has received a RPI intake scoop, as well as a RPI Section II exhaust that uses a matte black finish. The handling has been enhanced, thanks to the use of JIC Cross Coilovers.

The vehicle now sits on DPE ST-10 rims that come in a 20x9.5 size for the front axle and in a 20x11 size for the rear one. The wheels are wrapped in Falken 452 tires (225/35 for the front axle and 255/30 for the rear axle).

The vehicle comes dressed in an interesting shade of blue, receiving a carbon fiber finish for the OEM hood and trunk. The car has also been gifted with yellow HID fog lights.

The list of interior modifications includes an idrive controller borrowed from the M5, a set of lights that use LED technology as well as an iPod integration.
