BMW 335i Performance Edition Prepares for Release in August 2011

The Bavarian manufacturer surprises its customers by releasing breath taking automobiles every time. After freezing the market with with the M3 Frozen Black Edition, the manufacturer serves another delicacy that is already a big hit. The new 335i Performance Edition will feature a boost in power and some distinguishing features that will ensure its success, according to Top Speed.

During the July BMWNA Sales Roundtable Broadcast, BMW announced that the 335i Performance will get an extra 20hp and another 32lb-ft of torque to add to the standard model’s 300hp an 300 lbs-ft (406 Nm) of torque. Along with this increase came a 0-60 mph (0 to 100 km/h) sprint that can be made 0.2 seconds faster. Not a huge difference, but apparently enough to make a special edition out if it.

In addition to the mild power increase, the new BMW335i Performance Edition will be equipped with black kidney grilles and a “Performance Edition” badge. Potential customers need to know that the new package can only be combined with the 335i models carrying the Sport/M-Sport package.

BMW 335i Limited Performance Edition will be available on the 335 sedans in “i” and “xi” models, but requires a Sport package on the “i” and M-Sport and on the “xi models”.The option code in ZMZ and will be available to order from the port as well as the dealer level. For the moment, there is nothing more to say about this new Beamer, we shall keep an eye on it and see if it will rise up to its name.

The new BMW 335i Performance Edition package will be available starting with August production 335i sedans with an additional $550 price tag .
