This year, BMW will follow the trend started with the 5 Series GT and bring to the open market a new model, the F34 3 Series GT.
The new model, which will be more practical, is set to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, next month. Even though the 3er's interpretation as a GT will be new to the market, the engines powering it will remain the same those found on the F30 3 Series, along with the xDrive system.
From the shots we can see that the new 3er will be within the lines of the F30 design. The front grille is connected to the headlights and sports the same kidney shape as all the BMW models. Also, the intake side surrounds will look like a reversed number seven, feature also present on the future 4 Series whilst the front grille is more pronnounced.
As for the interior design, it will remain well in the limits of the current 3-Series sedan, little changes being expected.
We have 2 different photos, in order to see how the M Sports Package will make the car look compared to the standard look. First of all we can notice that on the M Sports Package the car's brake calipers are blue (as per usual on M Sports Packages). Comparing the front bumpers, the M version has a more aggressive look due to the massive central air intake.
At the back the differences are even more obvious. The M package rear bumper shows integrated air diffusors on the lower part, on both sides, right beside the exhaust. Going into the characteristic GT look, compared to the 5 Series GT, the 3er is much better, having a two-tier rear hatch design.
