Buying a Bentley brings you, among others, one of the best audio systems ever designed for cars, as the luxury car manufactured partnered in 2008 with Naim. The goal was, at that time, the development of the world's best in-car audio experience. The time passed by and customers feel the need for more, so the 2011 Mulsanne will be offered, starting from now, with the Dirac Live sound optimization.
In plain English, the system will work to eliminate all, or most, quality imperfections created by the room acoustics, with every loudspeaker to be controller by a digital tuner, thus achieving the maximum performance. Bentley says that the function will optimize the sound system's transient reproduction, so passengers will enjoy a much greater audio experience.
"Both Bentley and Naim are known for their mixture of the finest hand-built quality and cutting-edge technology. We feel privileged to be a part of their vision to deliver the equal of the world's finest home hi-fi within a car," said Mathias Johansson, CEO and CTO at Dirac Research.
As said, all new 2011 Bentley Mulsanne cars will be equipped with the function, as an integrated feature of the Naim for Bentley sound system option.
"By harnessing Dirac's DSP technology we have been aided in our quest to bring the Naim experience to life within the environment of the car. In doing so we have succeeded in creating a system that is not only superior to other in-car audio systems available today but that also equals the world's best in-home hi-fi systems," said Paul Stephenson, Managing Director at Naim.
