Benedict Radcliffe Reveals Range Rover Evoque Wireframe Art

We’ve heard of Mr. Benedict Radcliffe before, as last year we brought to your attention his stunning Lamborghini wire replica. Showing painstaking attention to detail, he recreated intricate details like the front grills, ventilation ducts and even a spoiler for the Ranging Bull-lookalike.

This year, the London artist has set his sights on a tribute to the design of the new Land Rover Evoque. This true-scale replica was unveiled at a moment that coincides with the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

This year's Swiss show saw a few new exterior and interior design features being revealed. The Evoque was also named Best Production Car in the 2010 Car Design News in the Car Design of the Year ceremonies, the first major award received by the vehicle.

Benedict's wireframe creation shows a clear focus on the individual design elements of the Range Rover Evoque. Building on the design, the installation includes 3D wheels and front and back seats, all made from steel and painted in a rainbow of colours including lime green and neon pink.

These components are suspended within a 3D box, thus creating a life-size representation that can also be deconstructed to form individual stand alone pieces of art.

"The traditional concept of the wireframe created a huge buzz in 2010 but this is the perfect opportunity to dig a little deeper into the intricate design detail of the Range Rover Evoque. People can't help but get involved with the sculptures and interact with them and I can't wait to see how the installation is received," the young artist said.
