BAM Racing, Back on Track with Warner Music

After last year BAM Racing decided to go off the track due to the loss of the primary sponsor, things look better now for Beth Ann Morgenthau and her team. BAM announced it has signed a sponsorship deal with the Nashville division of Warner Music, in a move which will allow BAM to get back in the race in the 2010 Sprint Cup season.

"We're happy to say our efforts and patience have been rewarded with just such a partnership with Warner Music Nashville! They're excited about our vision to bring the fans more involvement and inside access to the sport they love and know, through this association the music and stars they love as well!," Morgenthau said in an enthusiastic release.

Warner will sponsor the team's No. 49 Toyota for the entire Cup season. The driver has not yet been selected, but he will be made know prior to the BAM comeback next February, at the Daytona Speed Weeks.

"They're name drivers," Morgenthau told NASCAR. "You know the ones that are available, I know the ones that are available, and they're sending us resumes."

As part of the sponsorship agreement, Warner will display on the BAM car its artists and album releases and live performances during race weekends.

BAM was formed in 2001 and raced in 167 races since. It only managed a sixth place at Bristol in 2004. The team had Ken Schrader as the primary driver, with John Andretti, Mike Bliss and Mike Wallace also used from time to time.
