AutoCheck for Pre-Owned Kia Models

Buyers of used Kia vehicles in the US can feel a bit safer now, after the South Korean manufacturer and Experian Automotive teamed up to provide AutoCheck vehicle history reports for all Kia Certified Pre-Owned vehicles.

Potential buyers, customers and just about anyone can use Autocheck to link to third-party vehicle-listing websites and learn more about the car, or simply go to a Kia dealer and ask for the information.

In additon, Kia also announced each AutoCheck report would post a vehicle history event meant to let potential buyers know that each car has been qualified under Kia's Certified Pre-Owned process.

The system will allow each customer access to information like reported accidents, odometer issues, title brands or frame-damage announcements.

"Used car shoppers want transparency when it comes to understanding the history of a vehicle they intend to buy," said Tom Loveless, Kia vice president for sales.

"Providing AutoCheck vehicle history reports on Kia's Certified Pre-Owned vehicles to all of our dealers and Web partners helps increase customers' confidence in the shopping process and provides them with the peace of mind that they are making the right vehicle purchase."

As some of you already know, Kia is offering pre-owned vehicles in the US together with a 10-year/100,000-mile certified power train limited warranty. If you find yourself on the other side of the barricade and plan to sell a Kia back to Kia, then the car must meet some requirements.

According to the producer, to be eligible as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, a model must be up to five years old, have fewer than 60,001 miles and pass the required inspection.
