Having a bike earning the grand prize as Australia's Best Triton years ago and then seeing the owner's son re-building it in a different way 22 decades later is not exactly a common story, but it is a true one, nevertheless.
In 1989, Andrew Wishart's father was winning the title with his Triton build, a good-looking bike by today's standards, by all means. The dependable, brawny Triumph engine set in one the best-ever frame for it, the Norton Wideline, together with some custom details made the bike famous and multiple bike magazines had it featured.

After changing hands and being neglected, the old Triton came in Andrew's hands and he set out tinkering and adding new parts bit by bit. With spec parts and modifications, everything on this like looks like a one-piece solid build, even if the machine was build in several stages.

Sourcing top-notch components and closely following the retro guidelines for the Triton, finally led to a glorious result, a bike which proudly displays its shiny bare metal parts and which rides just as well, according to Andrew.

Retro parts used in the 50s and the 60s have been also modified to suit the new build, and look like stock aboard the Triton. We're wondering whether the new motorcycle would win if pitted against other Tritons. Seen on The Returnn of the Cafe-Racers.
