Technology never cease to amaze us and the augmented reality apps are among the most popular electronic wizardries to get entertained with at the moment.
Lexus and Toyota have already put out such apps that let you visualize some of their models in 3D right on the top of your desk. But things evolved quickly and a team of talented programmers made a more interactive version focusing on the Toyota GT 86 sportscar.
And since the GT 86 is all about thrills for small amounts of money, the guys came with a poster that will thrill the hell out of you. Well... not really the poster by itself, but the app that will scan it and unleash a 3D GT 86 model right on a table or around your living room floor. The interesting thing is that you can control the car and drift it around using through a handheld device.
So basically it’s just like you’re five again and playing with RC cars only that you won’t annoy your cat or dog, because the whole action takes place on the handheld device’s screen. Guess RC cars won’t last too long now since you can simply download a car and play with it wherever you want.
And that’s not all. Depending on how big you print the poster it will affect the size of the car on the screen. So basically, if you have a big parking lot and a place above to get a bird-eye-view, you can print a huge poster, lay it in between the other cars, go up, launch the app, unleash the car and drift it around until the battery dies.
