Audi RS7 to Pack 600HP

Each time a new Audi model is launched (we are not talking about SUVs here) car enthusiasts from all around the world experience a feeling of excitement, as the possibility of a new RS model appears. The same goes for the A7 Sportback.

Even though Audi hasn’t confirmed that it will release a RS7 model (the image you see here is a rendering released by kdavid design) , various media reports indicate that the company plans to release the car. Of course, the most important part of the potential future vehicle is its engine. As we are talking about a German Power War fighter, we can be sure that we’ll get a monstrous powerplant.

Audi and Bentley previously announced that they are working together to develop an new V8 unit that will be found under the bonnet of future models belonging to both brands and this is the engine expected to be used by the mad version of the A7.

Bentley said that each company will have its own version of the unit, which will be specifically tuned to cater for its needs. While the British carmaker mentioned that its incarnation of the V8 will deliver a high level of low-end torque, nothing was mentioned about Audi’s version.

However, Road and Track is reporting that the version of the V8 that will go under the bonnet of the RS6 will deliver 600 hp. If that proves to be true, Mercedes and BMW will be threatened and we just can’t wait to see their responses.

The RS7 will be able to handle the power just fine, as it will be fitted with the usual Quattro all-wheel-drive system, an adaptive suspension and a torque vectoring differential.
