An Audi dealership in Houston, Texas recently saw one of its vehicles, an RS5, stolen in an astoundingly foolish matter, yet one that proved successful.
Two men in a white Range Rover arrived at Audi West Houston, requesting a test drive with a $80,000 Audi RS5 Coupe. After a brief drive, the duo returned to the dealership and appeared to go into acquisition details.
As the employee who was handling them turned away from his desk for only a few moments, the two men nicked the keys to the RS5, the license of the “test driver”, as well as the later’s photocopy. They went straight to the Audi and drove off.
Neither of the two men had tried to hide his face from the multiple cameras in the dealership, but their Range Rover was plateless.
Audi West Houston is currently offering a $5,000 reward for the RS5 or any tip that lead to a conviction.
While all this is unfortunate, we can’t help but think that the whole story would make good material for an ad talking about the urge to have an RS5...
