Just when you thought the Audi R8's age has finally taken the German supercar out of the headlines, the supercar finds its way back under the spotlights and it's all thanks to a... symphony.
The clip below brings us an Audi R8 orchestra that even has a conductor. We're basically talking about three examples of the supercar that make full use of their exhausts to offer us one sweet, petrol-packed symphony.

The stars here are a pair of R8 V10 Spyders and an R8 V8 Coupe, so we're talking about 28 cylinders and almost 1,500 horsepower. Many have tried to make music using the voice of engines over the years, but few have succeeded.

On which list does this attempt belong? We'll let you judge this one after hitting the "play" button of the clip below. Be aware, the conductor isn't exactly the kind you've gotten used to. We won't say any more as we don't want to spoil the fun.

What about the cars?

Whether we're talking about the R8 V8 sportscar or the V10 incarnation, which is filled under "supercar", this is one popular choice. As you know, the R8 V10 shares many of its bits and pieces with the now-defunct Lamborghini Gallardo. While the Gallardo managed to sell a little over 14,000 units in the ten years of market presence it has enjoyed, the more affordable status of the R8 meant this has convinced over 50,000 customers so far.

The R8 wasn't without its faults though. For instance, the V10 exhibited a certain twitchiness, something that didn't exactly make it stable once you enter the triple-digit area.

While the Gallardo has been replaced by the Huracan, the second generation of the Audi R8 is around the corner. The prototypes are currently in an advanced development stage, as we've shown you in the R8 spyshots.

As always, the R8 won't be able to match the performance of the Lamborghini counterpart, but the Quattro Gmbh engineers will work their magic to give buyers serious reasons to go for the Audi, besides the price.
