Audi has recently announced the US pricing for the 2012 R8 GT Spyder, with the vehicle set to arrive on the American market next month. We’ll remind you that the GT version is powere by a 5.2-liter V10 unit that delivers 560 hp and a peak torque of 398 lb-ft (540 Nm).
The vehicle is 187 lbs (85 kg) lighter compared to the standard R8 V10 Spyder, thanks to the use of materials such as carbon fiber and magnesium. The topless supercar needs 3.8 seconds to complete the 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint and offers a top speed of 197 mph (317 km/h).
The uber R8 Spyder can be yours starting from USD210,000, with the price not including taxes and a USD1,200 destination charge. Out of the total 333 production run, 50 cars will be brought to the US, with the vehicles offering an individual number displayed on the gear shifter. One of the vehicles is set to be auctioned off at the Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance Gala, scheduled to take place on February 25th.
