Psst! Audi has something to tell those of you who thought the 360 hp output of the 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine powering the TT-RS is impressive. The company has recently released a video that, to many racing fans’s dissaproval, connects the TT-RS to the iconic Audi 90 Quattro racer.
Audi explains that both cars use 5-cylinder engines and a quattro all-wheel drive system, with the company bringing Michael Ganz, a Quattro GmbH engineer along for explaining this to us.
Ganz tells us that the powerplant on the TT-RS is a the modern-day incarnation on the one used by the ‘90s racer, but we have to tell you that the engine on the 90 Quattro delivered an almost double HP rating, taking the game to 700 hp.
